Bus Rollover on Highway 57
In the early hours of Wednesday morning, a passenger bus traveling along Highway 57 overturned near kilometer 68 in the Hermanas–Sabinas section. The bus, identified by number 9132, was en route from Ciudad Acuña to Gómez Palacio when the accident occurred.
Preliminary reports confirm that at least one person lost their life at the scene. Several others sustained injuries of varying severity. Among the injured is a minor identified as Jairo, who was transported in critical condition to Clinic 7 of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) in Monclova, where medical staff continue to monitor his condition closely.
In addition to the minor, at least five other passengers were reported injured and received medical attention. Emergency services responded promptly, securing the area and assisting victims. Separate Vehicle Rollover in Lerdo, Durango
In a separate incident, another rollover accident was reported late Tuesday night on the Gómez Palacio–Cuencamé Highway, near Raymundo Park in the city of Lerdo. According to initial information, the accident occurred around 10:00 p.m. when a vehicle collided with a light fixture and a concrete base before overturning.
The vehicle was found upside down at the scene. Emergency responders arrived shortly after the incident was reported to provide assistance and secure the roadway. Details regarding the number of occupants and the extent of injuries have not been fully disclosed.
